Plan to attend a Potluck Lunch to welcome Stephanie Dion as our new Associate Pastor, August 12 at 11:45am. Be sure to sign up in the narthex to let us know you're coming and what you plan to bring. This is an important celebration in the life of our church.
Lowcountry Presbyterian is blessed to have a very active handbell choir, Jubilate Ringers, and an exceptional set of Schulmark bells, many of which have been donated by members of the congregation. The JRs, as affectionately called, are on sabbatical this summer and will be returning on August 21st for their first rehearsal of the season. Rehearsals are about 1 hour in length and begin at 12:30p on Tuesdays. JRs typically play the second Sunday of the month at both services. If you cannot make a rehearsal or a Sunday service, we have a list of substitute ringers who are willing to take your place for the time you are away. We welcome anyone who is interested in this ministry to contact Beth Corry, Handbell Director, at email@example.com or (843) 703-946-7750. If you can count to four, like to laugh, enjoy chocolate, and the joy of worshipping through music, then you qualify. See you on 8/21/2018
LPC is truly blessed by our talented and devoted musicians, vocal and instrumental, under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind. The chancel choir is an integral part of the 10:30 worship service and both services on Communion Sunday and special offerings for Easter and Christmas. We are especially thankful for our Jubilate Ringers bell choir and accompanying organist/pianist Beth Corry. Other members and guest artists often lend their talents from time to time. Of course we always welcome anyone to join the choir or bell ringers to "make a joyful noise to the Lord."
From time to time, some of our young singers get to sing with the "big" choir
Rehearsals are generally on Thursday evenings
A "full house" was treated to a wonderful performance of sacred Liturgical music earlier this year. The Palmetto Brass Orchestra was joined by the LPC Chancel Choir and the Jubilate Ringers. Our own Robin Lind acted as Narrator, Instrumental Conductor and Choral Director, with Beth Corry leading the Jubilate Ringers, as well as providing some beautiful organ music.
