Freezing tempetures led to frozen pipes in the main building and a water outage. Rather than cancel services, a joint service was held in Fellowship Hall. Attendance was outstanding and there were warm feelings all around.
28 golfers participanted in the 10th Annual LPC Golf Outing, which this year was dedicated to the memory of Paul Marshall, who was a frequent player in previous years’ events. Coming in with the low score (65) was the team of Kevin Aylmer, Elon Thompson, Gary Swindler and Betty Smith. Afterwards, Fran Marshall and other members of Paul’s family joined the golfers for relaxation and fellowship at the Pine Crest Clubhouse.
Members of the Genesis and Haven Small Groups joined forces to paint classrooms in the Fellowship Hall on a nice Saturday morning in September.
LCP volunteers can often be found at Habitat for Humanity building sites, working side-by-side with our brothers and sisters from other churches - in this example the Apostles Build project on Hilton Head Island. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony for this home was held on December 3rd.
We are so grateful to everyone who made the 2017 December Fellowship Dinner possible. Good food, good music and a good time were had by all. Thank you, thank you!
