Several members of the Session gathered for a retreat at the Ebenezer Family Retreat Center near Rincon, GA, May 19-20, for a time of fellowship, great food, meditation, study and comtemplative prayer. For all, it was an enriching experience in a peaceful and historic setting near the Savannah River.
The WOC presented their Second Secondhand Rose Fashion Show and Tea to an enthusiastic audience April 29th. Featured were our “runway stars” as women from LPC as they model clothing and accessories they have found at nearby thrift and secondhand shops. A traditional high tea, including tea sandwiches, scones and sweets, was served. All proceeds benefit the benevolences of WOC. A special thanks to all who helped the WOC stage this festive event!
A festive tribute to the patron saint of Ireland, and all things Irish was the theme of the Fellowship Dinner for March. Bag Pipe music provided by Rick Kuhn and singing by Carolyn and Jim Tripp! Getting into the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, we enjoyed Guinness glazed corn beef, a Baked Potato Bar, and Baileys Irish Cake! Special thanks to Kevin and Megan Aylmer
LPC volunteers can often be found at Habitat for Humanity building sites, working side-by-side with our brothers and sisters from other churches - in this example the Apostles Build project on Hilton Head Island.
