“Galatians - Shockingly Good News” The book of Galatians is dynamite. It is an explosion of joy and freedom which leaves us enjoying a deep significance, security and satisfaction—the life of blessing God calls His people into. Why? Because it brings us face to face with the gospel. Led by Joe Crowley. Class begins at 9:35 am.

Small Group Offering

The Tuesday Women's Small Group

We will be discussing the book: Jesus, Pope Francis and a Protestant Walk Into a Bar by Paul Rock and Bill Tammeus.  The group will meet from 3:00 to 4:15pm, starting February 27th for 6 or 7 weeks in the Church Parlor.  The writers thoughtfully examine what is universal among Christians, what is unique to Catholics and Protestants, and how all Christians can practice understanding and cooperation across differences. The seven chapters of this book are supported by online video of the sermon series at: www.secondpres.org/pope-francis-series.

Building the Good Life for All — Transforming Income Inequality in our Community

You are invited to join this book study led by Doug Adamson beginning on Wednesday, April 18th at 5:30pm (skipping April 25th). In this six-week, highly interactive small group session we’ll explore our interdependence materially and spiritually with the working poor in our community. We’ll share our personal experiences and learn together about the resources in our community and how we, individually and as a congregation, can do more to help our neighbors in need. Sign-up in the Narthex or contact the church office by Sunday, April 15th so that books can be ordered at $14 each.

New series beginning April 17/18 – “The Gospel According to John: So that You Might Believe!” Written a bit later, John’s recollections describe additional stories not included in Matthew, Mark, and Luke.  John focuses on the divinity of Jesus, and calls Jesus the logos (“word”) of God. Wonder why? Come join us.
